A coeducational day school serving students JK-12

A Groundbreaking Garden

Latin is thrilled to be adding an exciting new learning space for our junior kindergarten and senior kindergarten students. The Learning Garden at 1547 N. Dearborn will serve as an extension of the classroom. Aligning with Latin’s vision for our youngest students, this multi-use outdoor space will enhance opportunities for learning and play throughout the school year.

Garden Inspiration

The design of the Learning Garden is direct reflection of Latin's philosophy of teaching and nurturing our youngest students. Strongly influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, the Garden is designed to encourage children's curiosity and creativity through both independent and collaborative learning. Each defined learning space will allow faculty to create purposeful learning experiences and opportunities for personal exploration and discovery. The Garden will be an extension of the classroom and will provide countless chances to bring the outside world in, and vice versa.
