Chess is a magical and fun game that provides a fundamental foundation for all learning. Our chess summer camp will help your child expand their chess knowledge for greater game success. A professional instructor will provide a high-level of instruction, which will include opening theory, middle game tactics and planning, and end game combinations so to move each student to new level of enjoyment and skill. Throughout the week the student will receive instruction, be supervised during game playing periods and receive personal feedback regarding their individual level of play. Chess-Ed is the premiere provider of school chess enrichment programs and also the sponsor of the scholastic chess Kumbaya Tournaments. Through this program we also teach and develop skills that last a lifetime: analytical and critical thinking skills, decision making, responsibility for choices, focus, patience and problem solving. Learning to win graciously and learn from a loss experience is also reinforced. This is an exciting, dynamic and fun camp to participate in.
