This class is a great opportunity for students with an interest in creative writing who want to further develop those skills and flex or stretch their creative muscle outside of their standard English classes

Students will practice close reading and analysis skills as they engage with a variety of contemporary poets. Students will also apply what they've learned to compose their own original poems, leading to the creation of their own poetry chapbook or zine featuring their poetry.
