Chess Camp with Chess-Ed (Grades 1-9)

June 27-July 1
Full-day: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Half-day: 9 - 11:30 a.m./12:30 - 3:00 p.m.

Coach Shiva will be the primary instructor. (Currently provides the Friday morning chess program during the school year.)

The class will provide professional instruction in opening chess theory and ideas, middle game tactics and strategy, plus the end game combinations. Chess teaches life skills and provides an intellectual foundation for all learning. Skills like problem solving, decision making, analytical and critical thinking, concentration, responsibility and that knowledge is the key to all success. Higher math and a richer vocabulary are also part of this program.

This year, in step with updated guidance from local and federal health officials, we are requiring campers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to enroll.
