CHESS-ED founded in 2003 is the premier provider of chess enrichment classes in schools and the sponsor of KUMBAYA tournaments, workshops and chess camps. CHESS-ED strives to teach skills that last a lifetime: focus, patience, and problem solving.

The class will provide professional instruction in opening chess theory and ideas, middle game tactics and strategy, plus the end game combinations. Chess teaches life skills and provides an intellectual foundation for all learning. Skills like problem solving, decision making, analytical and critical thinking, concentration, responsibility and that knowledge is the key to all success. Higher math and a richer vocabulary are also part of this program. Students bring their own nut-free lunch
