We know that staff are the heart of all we do at Summer@Latin. So we recruit and hire the most talented and dedicated people who deliver safe, well-planned days that provide the best learning experience for all our summer campers, whether they are a 5-year-old Navigator, a fifth grader in a STEAM camp, or a tenth grader studying Introduction to Computer Science. Each student is met as an individual, and valued as a member of our community of learners.

What are your guiding principles?
Provide students hands-on opportunities to try new skills; create a space that is safe and encourages risk-taking; facilitate a way for  students to innovate and create within an activity.

I enjoy working with students of different ages in one camp; providing children opportunities to make choices and design their own learning experiences as part of the specialty camps.

What makes Summer@Latin special?

My favorite thing about Summer@Latin is the many ways in which we are able to continue educating, learning and exploring while using various outdoor spaces to continue learning over the summer.

What are your guiding principles?

My guiding principles are:

  1. Every child is unique and we can all learn something new from each other.
  2. Everyone learns differently and teachers may need to adapt or alter their lessons accordingly.

  4. Always put yourself in someone else's shoes--we can always learn from another person's experiences.
