Tuition & Financial Aid
As a school community, we are committed to making a Latin education possible for families from socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. Latin is proud to be able to award more than $5.2 million in need-based aid annually.
The Financial Aid Office strives to assist families for whom the cost of independent school tuition is the only barrier to attendance. Latin has a need-sensitive financial aid policy. This means that all admitted students demonstrating need will be funded, but the number of students needing financial aid who can be admitted is restricted based on our budget.
Typically, more families apply for financial aid than the school can fund in the first round of admission decisions. In the event that funds become available later, some applicants in the wait pool might then be considered for financial aid awards.
There are so many experiences I would not have had if it weren't for the financial aid program at Latin - like Project Week. I never once felt different than any other student here because I was able to do everything the other students do.

Payment Plans
Latin School of Chicago offers families the following school-administered tuition payment plans:- One payment – Full tuition is due on July 15.
- Two payments – Fifty percent of tuition is due on July 15, and the balance is due on November 15.
- Eight payments - Payable starting July 15, and due on the 15th of every month through February 15. A $150 fee will be assessed.
FINANCIAL AID
Latin offers financial aid to families within a wide range of income levels, and the school makes every effort to provide each admitted student with the resources needed to attend the school. We believe that students learn best when their peers are from a variety of economic, cultural and geographic backgrounds. Our philosophy is guided largely by Latin’s Mission Statement, which reflects our commitment to creating “a community that embraces diversity of people, cultures and ideas.” We are also guided by NAIS Principles of Good Practice, which supports ethical, transparent and supportive Financial Aid policy and practices.I had the academic achievement and desire for rigor, but the key was opportunity through financial support.
