Latin is proud to host an annual middle school mathematics contest for grades 5 through 8.
On Saturday, January 28, Latin hosted its 18th annual contest, “2017: Prime Time!" Over 300 students from 19 schools participated in this year’s contest, which is intended for grades 5 through 8. Participating schools may bring a maximum of two teams per grade level. There are two parts to the contest: an individual round and a team round. Prizes are awarded in each grade level to individuals who finish in one of the first three positions, as well as to teams that finish in one of the first five positions. A pizza lunch for all participants is included in the registration fee.
The 2018 math contest is scheduled for Saturday, January 27, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and is open to school teams of 3 or more students. The Math Contest is a popular yearly tradition that dates back to 1999 and fills to capacity every year.
