Quarter 1 (July-October)

1. Held Convocation and commenced the Buddy Program in conjunction with Homecoming weekend.
2. Hosted Homecoming and Alumni Reunion weekend with numerous activities for students, families, faculty/staff, and alumni.
3. Set up a meeting with the Student Advisory Council to activate tutoring in Uptown with partner schools.
4. Hosted High Jump’s interview day and recruitment fair.
5. Created community goals as part of Upper School advisories.
6. Worked with the Parent Association on numerous events and activities to promote community engagement.
7. Sponsored the Latin Laddoos South Asian parent/guardian affinity group Festival of Lights celebration.

Quarter 2 (November-December)

1. Deliberately built in time for collaboration and celebration as part of school meetings and in-service days. A portion of our most recent in-service day was dedicated to building community. These efforts included having staff volunteer at Cornerstone Community Outreach as part of a team-building exercise.
2. Planned for Homecoming FY24 with a developing strategy to formulate a more expansive spirit week that showcased programs and allowed for interactive events across all three divisions. The Parent Association (PA) and athletics were equal contributors to the concepts and efforts.
3. Hosted numerous parent/guardian lunch and before-school service projects, participated in off-campus tutoring sessions, volunteered at Temple Sholom Monday night meals, took part in meal making for asylum seekers, organized monthly drives, and supported the PA Community Engagement programming.

Quarter 3 (January-February)

1. Continued “Lunch Bites” with presentation and discussion around endowment.
2. Created “Of Chicago” Advisory Board to begin in the 2024-25 school year.
3. Held anti-bias training for the Middle School and Upper School committees.
4. Hosted a number of student events and community service engagement opportunities. 

Quarter 4 (March-May)

1. Joined the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce, which will make a variety of events, activities and opportunities available to school personnel.
2. Met with representatives from civic and cultural institutions within Chicago to enhance partnerships that will benefit students and teachers.
3. Participated in planning meetings with PA representatives; hosted new parent/family meetings to discuss the PA as an engagement body and talk about specific opportunities for volunteering and event attendance.
4. Built in time for collaboration and celebration as part of school meetings and student events.

Quarter 1 (September-October)

1. Focused on the themes of academic excellence, communications, community building, and DEI through formal and informal school communications, presentations, committee work, and professional development opportunities. Audiences included students, faculty, parents, alumni, donors, prospective families, and other stakeholders.
2. Utilized multiple new publications to share School priorities, including Notes from Leadership, letters, notes from the HoS and Board President, and Board highlights.  
3. Revitalized community engagement opportunities, including MS Day of Service, Buddy Program, PA community engagement opportunities, Fidelitas and other in-person donor events, MS CS Hack-Event in Uptown, All-School Convocation, Back-to-School Nights, US Service Board, parent-included assemblies, and in-person committee meetings.
4. Returned to more extensive Global Exchanges programming and partnership programming (both virtual and in person).  
5. Launched a comprehensive market research and messaging project. Focus groups and key surveys with various groups have been completed.
6. Reinstated field trips across all divisions.

Quarter 2 (November-December)

1. 3. Market research project team met on November 28 and participated in a brand positioning exercise and reviewed focus group/survey data.
4. Reinstated field trips across all divisions and student participation in national conferences (Model UN, SDLC). Hosted Upper School exchange students from Spain. 

5. Restarted (post-Covid) community engagement opportunities: fall blood drive, MS day-of-service, more MS and US fundraisers and drives, 12th grade service event.

Quarter 3 (January-March)

1. Outlined numerous opportunities for development participation across the entire school.

2. Met with US parents to discuss the community engagement program.

Quarter 4 (April-May)

1. 76% of Lower School students participated in Latin 360° programs and 123 JK-4th grade students participated in Extended Day programs.
2. Upper School students completed over 2,500 community engagement hours, including tutoring students at 3rd Space, working with Ukrainian refugees, and participating in other student-organized projects.
3. HoS has met with hundreds of parents/guardians, faculty and staff over the course of the year, as well as conducted many meetings with Trustees and donors.
4. Middle School Day-of-Service and All-School Buddy activities and parade were enjoyed by students across all three divisions.
5. The all-School AAPI Cultural Celebration to commemorate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month was a huge success.
6. Full Summer@Latin program is up and running with JK-12 offering, which is open to all Latin and non-Latin students.
