Zero the Hero Celebrates the 100th Day of School

Have you met Zero the Hero? Lower School Math Interventionist, Patrick Huett, brings Zero the Hero to life!

Zero the Hero is a character from a book written by Joan Holub and Tom Lichtenheld. The general concept of the book is that all the counting numbers think zero is useless...until he ends up saving his friends in the end.

The SK teachers began to fill in ten frames to show the number of days in school, and each time the classes reached a benchmark of ten, Zero the Hero would appear to read a book in class and to celebrate a day with zero in the number of days in school.

Today, February 21, is a day to celebrate because it's Zero the Hero's favorite day – it's the 100th day of school!
