Yoga has become an important part of our wellness in the Latin community.
All students – in both middle and upper school – who participate in yoga learn how to control their breathing which helps them relax and relieve stress in their everyday life. They practice many sun salutations and a series of postures, including crow and wheel/bridge pose, which benefit their cardiovascular and muscular system. Ninth grade yoga is a beginners practice in hopes for the students to continue practicing yoga outside of school. During yoga for grades 11 and 12, students practice more meditation techniques with the goal of being able to develop a self-practice. Take a deep breath, relax... and browse the photos.
