In recognition of Yom HaShoah, the Jewish Holocaust Remembrance Day observed by Jews around the world, the Upper School Jewish Student Connection (JSC) shared more information about the eight days of remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust, which took place this year from April 4 through April 11 with Commemoration Day on April 8.
According to the JSC presentation, "On this day, we remember and commemorate the six million Jewish lives that were lost during the Holocaust. We educate one another about the shoah and hear stories from survivors so we never forget the atrocities that the Jewish people faced. It is a day to look into the past while also highlighting the strength and resilience of the Jewish people in the world today."
This presentation was shown in advisory to all upper school students. Learn more about Yom HaShoah from JSC in this video.
