| Latin School of Chicago has begun the search for our next Head of School following Dr. Thomas Hagerman’s announcement that he will step down at the end of the 2025–26 school year. To help ensure a smooth and successful leadership transition, the Board of Trustees has appointed Deb Sampey as Interim Head of School for the 2026–27 school year. |

Support and Engage
The Board has retained Isaacson, Miller (IM) to lead the search for a permanent Head of School. The firm has set up a dedicated page on its website where people can share feedback, submit nominations, or apply for the position.

Search Committee
The Board of Trustees has established a Head of School Search Committee. This committee, composed of nine current trustees, will conduct an inclusive and comprehensive national search and make a recommendation to the full Board for consideration.

Search Advisory Committee
A Head of School Search Advisory Committee (HSAC) has been established to assist with the search process. This committee, which is composed of faculty, staff, and senior administration representatives, will meet with the IM team in early April, and be in regular communication with the search committee throughout the process.
