About Us

Welcome to Latin School of Chicago, one of the city's oldest and most respected independent schools. Since our founding in 1888, we have prided ourselves on providing a rigorous college-preparatory education. Though we have grown over the years from a class of 10 boys into a school of nearly 1,200 students from junior kindergarten through 12th grade, our commitment to academic rigor has never wavered. This commitment, coupled with our tradition of excellence and strong home-school partnerships, enable us to meet the unique needs of every student we serve.
