While preparing students for the academic rigors ahead, the Middle School also encourages students to become well-rounded individuals. They have many opportunities to explore their talents and creativity in the classroom and beyond.
Outside the Classroom
The Middle School offers a multi-faceted co-curricular program that allows students of different grade levels to come together to focus on common interests.
For many students the co-curricular experience is their favorite part of the school day. It is an opportunity to be involved in something they are passionate about and allows them the chance to make friends based on mutual interests rather than grade level. It also gives them the freedom to explore potential interests.
Sports teams have competitive schedules against independent, parochial, and public school teams during every season; the chess team plays in tournaments throughout the state and nationally; band and chorus ensembles put on at least two concerts a year; the Middle School play provides theater experiences for all hopeful actors and stage hands; student government gives students a voice in the life of the School; academic competitions like MATHCOUNTS and Science Olympiad provide enrichment opportunities for interested students.
