THE LARAMIE PROJECT, was written in 2001 by Moises Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theatre Project.
The play is based on a real event and the dialogue is taken directly from hundreds of interviews with the residents of Laramie, Wyoming,
after the torture and murder of a gay college student. As it examines a small town wrestling with the aftermath of a Hate Crime, the play
is an uncompromising look at the effects of homophobia in everyday situations.
