Latin's First Graders Share Their Favorite Thanksgiving
Recipes
In preparation for the holiday, our first graders were assigned to share some
of their own recipes for Thanksgiving Dinner. Follow their instructions with
caution!

Cranberry SauceI think you need about 15 cranberries. Then you add a little bit of sugar. Mash them. Bon Appetit! Jillian's Macaroni You need 1 cup of water. Put in the pasta and turn on the stove. Let it sit there. After that then put the noodles in a big bowl. Put milk in and cut up some cheese. Bake and stir it. Turn the stove off and let it cool off. Then eat it. Tate's Turkey My favorite food is the turkey. First, get the ingredients. Go buy a turkey. Put stuffing in the turkey. Cook it. Now you can eat! Henry's Turkey Buy a 5-ounce turkey at the supermarket. Bake the turkey and you're done. Antonio's
Mashed Potatoes You need 3 sweet potatoes and 20 marshmallows. Take the skin off of the potatoes. Then cook it. Alexa's Turkey Buy a turkey. Bake it in the oven. Put some greasy sauce on it. Julian's Cranberry Sauce You need 1 cup of Jello, 10 cranberries, and 5 drops of food coloring (red). First you get a bowl. Then you mix it. Then you put it in the oven. Eat it! Jake's Pumpkin Pie You need one big pumpkin about a foot and a half big. Cut it open and take out the seeds. Bake it for a half-hour. Then let it cool. Then eat it up! Caroline's
Mashed PotatoesGet 4 potatoes. Then mash them. Put 4 spoonfuls of milk. Put 3 spoonfuls of Mexican sour cream. Isabel's Macaroni Cook the macaroni. Put cheese stuff on it. Then put it in the oven. Gregory's Turkey Dinner I am having ribs and turkey and pumpkin pie for dessert. The recipe is 2 eggs, 1 turkey, 1 pumpkin, and 10 cups of applesauce. That is the way to do it. Olivia's
Honey Baked HamFirst you buy it raw. Then put it in the oven for hours. Then take it out of the oven. Then put honey on it. Then let the honey sink in. Then you eat it. Hedy's Apple Cobbler First you cut up apples. In a different bowl, you put flower, oil, milk and of course, sugar! Then pour the apples in a pie tin and put the bowl of ingredients in that pie tin too. Then put it in the oven for an hour then take it out and it's done! Catherine's
Corn on the CobFirst you buy corn. Then you cook it. Then you eat it with your family. Jacob's Sweet Potatoes You put sweet potatoes in the oven for two seconds. Then you put the marshmallows in the microwave for two seconds. Mix it together for a few hours. Alex's Pumpkin Pie Grade a fifty-pound pumpkin and put it in the oven for an hour. Put whipped cream on. And don't forget the crust! |
