Lower
School Olympics
Sunny
skies greeted this year's Lower School Olympics on Friday, May 24. One of the
highlights of the Lower School year, this annual celebration of athletic skills
and sportsmanship gives first through fifth graders the opportunity to work
together and compete in a variety of fun games and activities.
Decked
out in their blue and orange with painted faces and dyed hair, students participated
in volleyball, relay, capture the flag, and blanket ball games. They also came
up with their own team cheers and banners.
This
year the event was named the 2002 Judy York All American Blue and Orange Olympic
Games in honor of one of Latin's most committed and beloved volunteers,
Judy York, former parent and past chairman of the Board of Trustees.
