On
Friday, February 1, Latin's Lower School enjoyed a production of Mindy
Anna Jones and the Quest for King Abacus the newest play by The
Giving Tree Theatre Company. The story is told in the style of such
classic fables as The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland,
and addresses the importance of self-esteem and belief in oneself.
The Story:
Mindy Anna is having trouble in school. She can't figure out her math
homework, and has lost all confidence in her ability to succeed. But all
of that is about to change! After a mysterious genie tells her about the
legend of King Abacus and his secret to math enlightenment, Mindy sets out on
the adventure of a lifetime. Along the way, she learns that if she believes
in herself, she can accomplish anything she puts her mind to!
