The Parents’ Council of the Latin School of Chicago, founded in 1953, is a volunteer parent organization whose membership is open to all parents and guardians of Latin School students.
It was formed to serve the best interests of The Latin School; to promote mutual understanding and cooperation among students, parents, faculty, administration, and trustees; and to promote good will between the School and community.
The Parents’ Council is committed to the mission of The Latin School of Chicago. To that end, the Parents’ Council:
- facilitates communication among the parent body, the faculty, the administration
and the Board of Trustees;
- sponsors activities which enhance a sense of community and provide a service
to the School; and
- raises funds to finance scholarships, provide faculty enrichment and increase the school endowment.
The Parents’ Council promotes and channels the commitment and dedication of the volunteer community to enrich the School’s environment on behalf of our children.
