Book Fairs
The Lower School Book Fair and the all-school Barnes & Noble Book Bonanza
provide opportunities for parents and students to enjoy browsing through
a wide range of age-appropriate selections. They are organized to encourage
an appreciation of literature, expand the reading selection of our children,
as well as raise funds for the School.
Homecoming/Roman Run
Each fall, parent volunteers support this celebration of School spirit by
assisting at Middle and Upper School sports events as well as helping with
rides, games, and lunch activities. The popular annual Roman's Run race
for students K-12, alumni, and parents also takes place on Homecoming/Reunion
weekend.
All-School Picnic
The annual all-school picnic is all you expect at a classic picnic and more!
The entire Latin community enjoys sack races, volleyball, music, face painting,
and egg tosses.
Parents' Roundtable
The purpose of the Parents' Roundtable is to provide a vital link between parents and parents as well as between parents and the School to work in partnership for the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our children. This committee works with Latin School staff to provide programs related to effective parenting, child development, and other important issues. On each divisional level, the Parents' Roundtable Committee plans and sponsors speakers and discussions on parenting issues such as time management, nutrition, Internet safety, friendship, sex education, and adolescent psychology.
