Latin Maintains Ice Hockey Program

Latin School is pleased to announce that we will transition our current ice hockey program from a school-managed program into a parent-run initiative starting this fall.  This model is similar to those followed by most schools in Chicago and across the country.
Ideally, this change will be a seamless transition for students.  The team will still be open to students from various schools and they will still wear the Latin jersey. The main difference is that the program is now fully funded and led by parents making it a sustainable option for the school.

Latin’s ice hockey program has always been an excellent example of Latin’s ability to work with other Chicago schools and we are  pleased to still offer this opportunity to our students and others.

If you have any questions about the ice hockey program, or the new structure, please contact Latin’s Athletic Director, Tom Bower at, or Latin parents Michael Werner and Lee Pollock at
