Family Issues Classes Offered Through Live & Learn Program

Chicago - The Live & Learn Program at The Latin School of Chicago offers a variety of adult evening classes, including many on family issues.
The following is a sampling of classes to be offered in the near future:

Mary Poppins - We Need You!: Learn how to locate, screen, interview, and pay a quality caregiver. Also learn about nanny taxes and what is essential for anyone considering or currently employing a nanny. Tuesday, November 2, 6:30-8:30 p.m., $25. Latin School, 59 W. north Blvd.

The Adoption Process: Learn from Sally Wildman, J.D., the current types of adoption, how to initiate your search, and the steps of the legal process. Trudy Tobias, Illinois Coordinator for European Adoption Consultants, Inc., will address developments in overseas adoption. Wednesday, October 20, 7-9:15 p.m., $25. 59 W. North Blvd.

Brady Bunch Revisited: Conquering the Problems in Stepfamilies: By the year 2000, the U.S. Census Bureau predicts that more Americans will be living in stepfamilies than in nuclear families. Join family therapist Wendy Kase. M.S., to learn how to enrich your stepfamily and work on co-parenting. Tuesday, October 19, 6:30-8 p.m. $25. Latin School, 59 W. North Blvd.
