Public Invited to Open House At The Latin School

CHICAGO– The Latin School of Chicago, the city's oldest independent school founded in 1888, will host an open house for grades 6-12 on Sunday, November 19, at 1 p.m. This afternoon event, open to the public, provides an opportunity to see this well-known educational institution "in action."

Middle school and high school students and their parents are invited to lean about the admissions and financial aid process; meet current students, parents and teachers; and tour the School. There will be mini classes conducted to provide a true feel of the day-to-day experience offered at Latin.

The primary objective of the School's founders—to provide a rigorous college-preparatory education in an environment that fosters individual attention—continues to be the core of Latin's mission today. Serving 1,063 students in grades junior kindergarten through 12, Latin offers a diverse school community that respects cultural differences and supports the development of a student's sense of self-esteem in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

For more information about the Open House (at the School located at the corner of North Avenue and Clark Street) and Latin's various activities contact Latin's Office of Admissions, (312) 573-4630.
