Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Latin's First Grade
Join first-graders at the Latin School of Chicago for a morning of Irish folktales, original limericks, dancing and singing in commemoration of St. Patrick's Day, on Friday March 17. The festivities will take place from 8:40-9:10 a.m. in Latin's Lower School Gym, located at 1531 N. Dearborn Parkway.
Decked-out in shamrock t-shirts, students will perform two popular Irish folktales, Fin M'Coul and The King's Secret, some simple step dances and sing Irish standards, including "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling." Also to mark the day, 14 of Latin's youngest poets will be performing their own non-traditional limericks.
