Latin’s first students to attend the new Middle School, as well as their parents and other members of the school community, no longer have to imagine the inside of the building. They got a first-hand look at the facility on May 11, with about 220 people attending a hard-hat tour organized by the school.

The event featured tours of the lower level and first floor of the building, and visitors saw a classroom that had been outfitted with lighting, cabinetry and furniture. The kids especially enjoyed sitting at “their” desks, whose tops are constructed from recycled sawdust.

Common reactions included, "It's amazing to see it coming together," and "I can finally visualize what it will look like."

Construction will continue through the summer and early fall. News about the building’s grand opening will be forthcoming this summer!
