Scholastic Bowl Goes to State Finals

Latin's scholastic bowl team will soon continue part of its longstanding tradition: competing in the state finals.

On Saturday, March 17, the team will travel to Peoria for the state championship for the 16th consecutive year. Latin has won the Class A Scholastic Bowl championship in four of the last five years, and the school was ranked second in its class by the Illinois High School Scholastic Bowl Coaches Association poll.

Students on the team include:

SENIORS
Pierre Dowden, Jamie Floyd, Franco Lopez, Emma Rovit, Madeline Spiker and Ben Wishnick

JUNIORS
Alex Drake, Andrew Friedman, Mitch Glasser, Tom Hokin, Nick Hybel, Emin Topalovic and Grant Wilkie

SOPHMORES
David Aron, Sam Hirshman and Caity McQuade

FRESHMEN
J.J. Jarik, Seth Perlman, Andrew Pritzker, Dillon Sharp and Robert Volgman
