Save the date for The Latin School of Chicago’s eighth annual invitational mathematics contest, which will be held Saturday, January 27, 2007. Schools from the metropolitan Chicago area, as well as from neighboring states, are expected to attend.
This popular annual competition is open to 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Students compete in teams of four, and prizes are awarded for individual as well as team performance. A mid-morning snack and a pizza lunch are provided to everyone.
The day begins with an orientation at 8:30 and concludes with the awards assembly at noon.
This year’s contest is titled "Stairway to Seven," and more information may be obtained by contacting Warren Hawley, Meet Director.
