Highlights from the Spring Season

The Romans had a successful spring! Below are highlights from the season. Be sure to check out the summer edition of the Latin Magazine for team recaps and additional information.

  • Dan Daly received the Independent School League Coach of the Year award in Track & Field
  • The boys volleyball team posted 17 wins this season - the most in the program's history
  • Four athletes received All-Sectional honors: Lily Keiderling '18 (soccer), Liv Gwilliam '17 (soccer), Emma Weiss '18 (soccer) and Sam Orlin '17 (water polo)
  • Five athletes received All-State honors: Nicolas Meister (tennis - singles - 4th place finish at state); Kendal Seymore '20 & Jonathan Wuyan '20 (tennis - doubles); Connor Kaniewski '17 & Ben Mitchell '20 (tennis - doubles)
  • Richard Mbouombouo '17 broke the school record in the shot put & discus and Peculiar Nzegbuna '19 broke the school record in the 110-meter hurdles
  • Lily Keiderling '18 was named the ISL Player-of-the-Year in soccer
  • Maggie Marrinson '18 was named ISL Goalkeeper-of-the-Year in soccer
  • Nicolas Meister '17 was named ISL Player-of-the-Year in tennis
  • Middle School Girls Track Club placed 4th in the IESA (Illinois Elementary School Association) State Championships
  • Marianne Mihas '21 won both the 800 meter and mile run races at the IESA State Championships
