Cross Country Teams Race to Sectionals
Latin's varsity cross country teams made fabulous showings at the Class A St. Benedict's regional championship at Lincoln Park on Saturday, October 26,
finishing first (girls) and second (boys) to advance to sectionals on November 2.
The girls team dominated the regional championship with awesome team and individual efforts. The fabulous freshman duo of Alice Baumgartner and Lisey
Waters finished a close first and second. Their efforts were shored up by sophomore Megan Nash (5th), junior Emma Baumgartner (6th), and sophomore
Jordy Feiger (11th).
Meanwhile, the boys' team finished second in regional competition behind the strong running of second place finisher senior Robert Miner. Sophomore
Chris Buford finished eighth.
