Application Deadline: DECEMBER 15, 2008 (for first round consideration)
Decision Letters Mailed:
February 20, 2009 -- grades nine-twelve
March 6, 2009 -- grades six-eight
The application process is initiated by submitting an $80 application fee along with the following documents: the application form, the parent questionnaire and the applicant questionnaire (MS or US).
The applicant's school should send in last year's report card and the most recent standardized test scores. Please contact us at (312) 582-6060 or admissions@latinschool.org if the application fee presents a financial burden.
Upon receipt of these five documents, the Admissions Office will:

All paperwork (application, applicant and parent questionnaires, transcript and letters of recommendation), andthe student and parent meetings must be completed by DECEMBER 15, 2008, to be considered for
first-round decisions.
Tours and Open House
Our annual Open House and Informational Program on SUNDAY,
NOVEMBER 23, 2008, offers the best opportunity for parents to tour the
Middle and Upper Schools and to learn more about Latin from our faculty,
administrators, current students and parents.
Student Visits and Student/Parent Meetings
All applicants for grades six through twelve are required to visit Latin (between October 1 and January 23, 2009) as part of the application process. Applicants will shadow a Latin student for a full day of classes (7:50 a.m.—3:20 p.m.). An admissions officer will meet individually with the applicant and the parent(s) or guardian(s).
PLEASE NOTE: Before scheduling an appointment for a visit and meetings, students must have submitted the following: the application form, parent questionnaire, applicant questionnaire, last year’s grades and their most recent standardized test results.
Testing
Applicants must pre-register to take the Independent School Entrance Exam
(ISEE). Applicants will receive a registration booklet as part of the application
packet. Non-applicants can receive a booklet by calling the Admissions Office at (312) 582-6060. The registration guide offers test sites all over the country.

Applicants can register
online. Applicants who do not
live near a test site may call ISEE at (800) 446-0320 to learn about remote testing
options. Applicants may choose whichever date and site is most convenient,
regardless of where they wish to apply.
Test dates available at Latin for the 2008-09 academic year are:
- October 18, 2008
- November 1, 2008
- December 6, 2008
- January 17, 2009

In some cases, applicants to grades eleven and twelve may submit ACT, PSAT or SAT scores in lieu of the ISEE.
