Latin is a rigorous college preparatory school, and one of the things we do well is to prepare students for success in college and life beyond college. Our college counselors play a vital role in the transition from high school to college, getting to know students early in their high school careers so that, by the time students begin making their college inquiries, our professional staff can guide them to consider the many choices available to them.
The goal of the college counseling process at Latin is to help each student enroll at the college or university most appropriate for his or her academic and personal needs and aspirations. Typically, 100 percent of the senior class enters a four-year college or university in the autumn following graduation from Latin.
The counseling process encourages students to be involved, reflective, and responsible for their choices. As the people who know their children best, parents play an active role in the college admission process.
Typically seniors matriculate at more than 40 colleges in more than 20 states, the District of Columbia, and at international locations.
