Today we went back to Best Friends and continued cleaning up the horse area and the pig
area. They have 19 pot bellied pigs that they care for. One huge pig is very old and
lame. They named her “Britney” after Britney Spears... huh! She lives in the kitchen
of their office because she can’t be in the cold weather. She has her place in the corner of
the kitchen on a huge dog bed with blankets and sheets. We got to meet her first thing.
After cleaning out the pig pens – yep, we cleaned them – and then we took a couple of the pigs for a walk. Others mucked out the horse paddocks yet again. We are really looking forward to our trip to the Grand Canyon tomorrow... more to share!
