PROJECT WEEK 2008

< Project Week 2008

Best Friends Animal Society; Kanab, Utah

This project requires a love of animals and a willingness to get dirty! We will not only help walk and feed the various animals at the shelter, but we will do whatever work they ask of us... from mucking out horse stalls to rebuilding fences. We will also take one day off to visit a national park, possibly the Grand Canyon, for a day of hiking. If time permits, in the evenings we will hike the trails in Angel Canyon and see the beautiful landscape that this region of the United States has to offer.

Monday, March 10
Our first visit to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. We took a tour of Best Friends and some photos of our adventures. Today some of us mucked out the horse paddocks, while others got to "walk the pigs." We "socialized" with some horses and saw some of the "Red Hills" that make the landscape famous in this part of Utah. And took a group shot right where we were able to eat our lunch today! Our group of 12 is having fun! We are looking forward to another day at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary tomorrow!
