Today we learned about the integumentary (skin), respiratory, nervous, and cardiovascular systems. This was the first day of student presentations. We also finished putting the muscle layer on the drawings of our hands. In addition to the black colored pencil, we used red, blue, and white to color the muscles and tendons. Lunch today was Tiparos. We looked for Obama afterwards at the Chicago History Museum, but they would not let us in because the event was private. After watching a video on Eadweard Muybridge and his photographs of motion we began gesture drawings. We made a total of twelve drawings of six different people. Each model had three one minute poses while the last few drawings were shortened to 45 seconds. Tonight we start to add bones to our hand drawings, which are starting to look very cool. --Annelise |
