An important part of this Project Week is a three-day-long simulation of the work of the United Nations in historical St.
Petersburg, Russia (SPIMUN). At this Tenth Anniversary Conference of SPIMUN students play the role of diplomats and
represent member-states of the U.N. Attendance at SPIMUN means much more than just taking part in another Model
U.N. Participants are brought together with 500 delegates and teachers from around the world. In addition to the Model
U.N., there is a special cultural program. After touring in revolutionary St. Petersburg and at the Catherine Palace, the
group will travel to Moscow to experience the history and modern culture of that city. Among the sites the group will
visit in Moscow are the Kremlin, Moscow's fortress, Red Square, and the GUM Department Store.
