< PROJECT WEEK 2004

RADIO SHOW PRODUCTION

Before television there was radio. From early 1920s until the mid 1950s, Americans turned to their radios for information, inspiration and entertainment. During this time over 6000 radio series were broadcast. These shows were the pioneers of the Comedies, Detective shows, Comedy/Variety shows, Dramatic programs, Broadcast Propaganda, Adventure Serials, Horror/Fantasy programs, Soap Operas, and Westerns all danced across the airwaves of America in those days.

Our Project Week Activity will have two objectives, to expose you to the history and joys of this almost lost art form, and to allow you to collaborate in creating a 30 minute show in the mold of those weÍll study.
