Day 4, March 11-12, 2003

Last night and today have been great!

Last night Dan finished imaging all 110 Messier objects! We were confronted with relatively good weather, clear skies, and as always - an insatiable appetite for late hours and astronomical imaging (although I personally fell asleep early, at about 1:00 AM).

Today was wonderful. The group spent the afternoon, after a quick stop at the local gas station "Allsup's," inside the Space History Museum in Alamagordo. After partaking in a fascinating tour, and then a number of space-flight simulators, our group left the museum and headed back for New Mexico Skies with our pockets filled to the top (filled with freeze-dried NASA ice cream). All in all - a normal day for the New Mexico astronomy project week group!
