In this project, students
will discover the innumerable artistic
and musical resources Chicago has to offer. While
many of our students have experience with the mainstream artistic
offerings in the city, this project will
expose them to many of the great artworks outside
of the standard tourist fare. Students will also learn how the
arts relate to everyday life through visits to museums and
by creating artwork and music of their own.
This project week is led by Christine Holloway and Matt Dix.
Ms. Holloway is an Upper School visual arts teacher who
enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for folk and outsider art.
Mr. Dix is the Middle and Upper School Choral Director
and has a passion for folk music from around the world.
