Student dog lovers are spending their Project Week learning about every aspect of canine life in Chicago. While they experience the slobber and mud that is part of interacting with dogs, project participants also learn how to raise, care for, train, and rescue dogs.

Through field trips and visitors the students are introduced to dog-related career and volunteer options including dog breeding, veterinary care, training, and dog welfare and shelter work. They also meet dogs with careers as therapy, rescue, and service animals. The students’ final assignment will be a dog-related service project.
