The New York Project Week experience included visits to various sites in the Big Apple. We explored the city's many cultures by taking walking tours of the Lower East Side and working on an art project with refugee children in the Bronx. Students enjoyed the theater, attending performances of The Sweet Smell of Success and The Crucible. We enjoyed other cultural institutions, too, viewing artwork at several museums: the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney, Guggenheim, Museum of Modern Art, American Craft Museum, and the International Center of Photography. A trip to the Upper West Side to experience the Cloisters rounded out the NYC experience, giving us a broad glimpse of the exciting history and culture of New York City.
