During the fourth week in April, Middle School students and faculty engage in
Project Week, a week during which they leave their classrooms and take
to the air, the road, and waterways. Sixth graders journey to the state
capital of Springfield to explore the inner workings of government and
state history. Seventh graders explore and improve the Chicago River and
surrounding neighborhoods, after spending the year studying the river
and its environs. And eighth graders fly to Washington, D.C., where they
learn about the rich cultural, historical, and political institutions
that form the core of our nation's capital.
