"After my child was stung by a bee at recess, it really impressed me that
the nurse knew all about my child's special health concerns, and more than that,
that she took the next step by notifying both me and the parent of my child's
after school play date."

All of our students can be enthusiastic learners, but some will need more guidance and individually tailored assistance than others. Our Learning Resources Center provides specially trained teachers who focus their attention on those students who have diagnosed learning differences. Our unique Reading Resources program, initiated in 1999, ensures early identification of and intervention for at-risk readers, so that all children can find the pleasure in reading. In both centers, our professional educators work with individual students, classroom and subject area teachers, and parents to provide the best support possible for our students.
Homeroom teachers are the best source of information for parents about their children’s progress in the Lower School, and we encourage frequent conversations between parents
and homeroom teachers. Throughout the year parents will have opportunities to meet with teachers in formal parent-teacher conferences. These conferences are supplemented
with detailed written reports.
Your child’s homeroom teachers can be available to provide extra help before and after school.
A full-time nurse cares for students who become ill at school, administers necessary medications, and acts as a health and nutrition resource for homeroom teachers.
