Located just north of downtown Chicago, the school is ideally situated to take advantage all the vibrant city has to offer. Classroom or independent study is frequently augmented by the rich cultural and educational resources of Chicago
Latin's three academic buildings house modern classrooms; state-of-the art science, language, and computer labs; a performing arts wing including a 500-seat theatre; gallery space; two fully on-line libraries; three gymnasiums; a rooftop playground; a dance studio; a swimming pool; an extensive photography lab; and four art studios.
Latin's campus-wide computer network links more than 600 computers to the Internet. All computers have access to the network services, creating a dynamic learning environment for both students and faculty.
In the fall of 2007, Latin opened the doors to its new, 80,000 square foot Middle School building, expanding the school's space per student by 40 percent. The building is designed to uphold Latin's commitment to serving as an integral member of the community. A green roof minimizes the building's impact on the environment and recycled materials were used throughout the building when feasible. |
