Faculty
More than 160 men and women; seventy-six percent hold advanced degrees in their field. Latin has endowed faculty fellowships, a sabbatical program, and support of ongoing professional development for teachers.

Financial Aid
Each year, Latin awards nearly $3 million in need-based scholarships. Approximately, 12 percent of students who attend the school currently receive some level of financial aid.

Student Life
Students participate in more than 20 competitive varsity sports teams and nearly 50 different clubs, organizations and affinity groups. Several theatrical performances are staged throughout the year and our students enter a variety of local and national arts and academic competitions. Latin hosts a championship Scholastic Bowl team and an award-winning yearbook.

College Placement
Latin students earn admission into the most selective schools in the country.  One hundred percent of Latin students attend four-year colleges and universities.

Alumni
Latin has an active alumni community comprised of 4,000 men and women located in 49 states and 32 countries worldwide.  Alumni are an integral part of school life participating in various ways throughout the school year.

Campus & Facilities
Latin is a three-building, urban campus located adjacent to the 1,212-acre Lincoln Park. Latin's three academic buildings house modern classrooms; state-of-the art science, language, and computer labs; a performing arts wing including a 500-seat theatre; gallery space; two libraries; three gymnasiums; a rooftop playground; a dance studio; a swimming pool; an extensive photography lab; four art studios and a green roof garden.  The school’s location also allows students and faculty to utilize Chicago's rich cultural and intellectual resources.  

Buildings
Latin lower school houses our junior kindergarten (half-day program), senior kindergarten and grades 1-4.  Middle school houses grades 5-8, and the upper school building houses grades 9-12.

Accreditation
Latin School of Chicago is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education, by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
